The site has now been migrated to the new CMS, so while it does in fact look almost exactly the same as version 2.0, it now has much more scope for improvement. Anyone that is seeing some pages a bit squiffy should wise up and get a decent standards-compliant browser immediately! The site has long been in the making, this should really be termed either version 1.0 (since it’s the first version in around 5 years that I’m happy with as being ‘complete’) or version 8,000,000.0 (since there have been so many complete revamps begun but that have lost steam before being put out to pasture without ever seeing the cold light of day). But I’m happy with this system for now, it is flexible and will let me do everything I need to do. I’m looking forward to finally putting all that content I have stored up somewhere where it can be appreciated.
The problem I have is in trying to create a CMS’ed site without looking like a tacky CMS! I think I’ve done OK so far, but the blog posts could still do with some work. If anyone’s out there reading this, please please let me know what you think and any ideas you might have for how to improve this.
Here’s looking forward at a new beginning for some self-publicity opportunities; maybe I can get back to writing some tunes now!

Nice! I like alot. Specially your ‘proffesional’ blog. What the hell is with Little Richard’s gouged-out eyes tho?
Saw this comment on wired and thought of you… particularly the article refers to a Cigarette Smoking Cat (CSC? close enough) who resembles Monsieur Staypuft. I realise you merely /appreciate/ the marshmallow king and don’t actually look like him, but heck, Cat, Staypuft, Laptop Industrial, Chesh? W(e)ir(e)d. Please feel free to delete this ridiculous addition to your swanky new site. I’m durnk. Wrote some ace tunes tonight tho.

It occurred to me at work today — wtf is the point of a concert in Second Life, anyway? An avatar that might resemble Jay-Z, though almost certainly not controlled by the man himself, with a mix of his songs (maybe with some applause and such added in?) set as the zone’s BGM does not really convey the experience of being at a concert.
I never thought I would find something less exciting than laptop industrial, but this may be it.
